EN - The last (but not least) composition of this album evokes the march of the Burkinabé people who rose up to chase the dictator, Blaise Compaoré from power in October 2014. Led massively by young people and civil society, this revolution put an end to 27 years of dictatorship and made an impact far beyond national and continental borders. « When the people stand up, imperialism trembles », said Thomas Sankara in the 1980s. Compaoré, who is currently accused of the deadly repression of the revolution, found out the hard way before fleeing the presidential palace (with the collusion of France), on the arrival of the demonstrators. Nothing stops a people rising when it is united against the same injustice.
Anw ka ta, means « let’s go » in Dioula. Here, Zouratie Kone evokes the need to unite in work, for the prosperity of all. The Malian rhythm called Ziziré from the Minianka ethnic group is used in this composition. There is strength in unity, in revolution as well as in constructing the future!
FR - L’ultime composition de cet album évoque la marche des Burkinabè qui se sont soulevés pour chasser le dictateur Blaise Compaoré du pouvoir en octobre 2014. Portée massivement par la jeunesse et la société civile, cette révolution a mis fin à 27 ans de dictature et a marqué les esprits bien au-delà des frontières nationales et continentales. « Lorsque le peuple se met debout, l’impérialisme tremble », disait Thomas Sankara dans les années 80. Compaoré, actuellement inculpé pour la répression meurtrière du soulèvement, a du s’en rappeler à ses dépens, avant de fuir le palais présidentiel à l’approche des manifestants, avec la complicité de la France. Rien n’arrête un peuple debout, lorsqu’il est uni contre une même injustice.
Anw ka ta, veut dire « allons-y » en dioula. Zouratie Kone évoque ici la nécessité de s’unir dans le travail, pour la prospérité de tous. C’est un rythme malien appelé Ziziré de l’ethnie Minianka qui est utilisé notamment dans cette composition. L’union fait la force, dans la révolution comme dans la construction de l’avenir !
