EN - Kèlè Magni can be literally translated as « War is not good ». Here, the griot, Zouratie Kone urges people to free themselves from conflict through dialogue and forgiveness, because nobody is spared when it arises. He uses a rhythm called Yara Yara from the Toussian and Siamou ethnic groups, located around the city of Orodara in the Kénédougou region of Burkina Faso. Yara Yara means « communicate together to stop fighting ». The griot plays this rhythm to calm people down when there is a fight between two individuals; between a husband and wife, or between two villages.
