EN - Diarra means « lion » in Dioula. Diarra Spirit is a composition inspired by this majestic animal, the symbol of strength and bravery. It’s a Bouamou rhythm from the Bouaba ethnic group in the Malian region of Kénédougou, played particularly during customary celebrations. The Boua people had a warrior king called Bazani Théra who won fame in the struggle against French colonisation at the beginning of the 20th century.

FR - Diarra signifie « lion » en dioula. « L’esprit du lion » est une composition inspirée de cet animal majestueux, symbole de force et de courage. Il s’agit ici d’un rythme Bouamou de l’ethnie Bouaba dans la région du Kénédougou au Mali, joué notamment dans les fêtes coutumières. Le peuple Boua avait autrefois un roi guerrier nommé Bazani Théra qui s’est illustré dans la lutte contre la colonisation française au début du XXe siècle.
